The Netrics Difference

Human error-tolerance at computer speed

Netrics is taking data matching to a whole new level - the human level.

Conventional computer software is great at exact matching. It can process thousands, even millions, of transactions per second, and achieve an inhuman level of accuracy.

But throw in some real-world issues, and that incredibly powerful system can seem pretty helpless. What happens if two digits in the Social Security number are transposed? Or if the customers' first and last names are reversed? Or if the company name is entered slightly differently on two different records?

A human being (if we had the time to look at the data) would instantly perceive the similarity, and draw the right conclusion. But for conventional computer software, these sorts of data problems can sabotage a business process. The computer may fail to recognize that two pieces of data represent the same person, product, or company.

Unless the computer is running Netrics software.

Netrics software is built using sophisticated mathematical models of the way humans naturally find similarities despite having imprecise information. By modeling these human traits, Netrics Data Matching Platform™ produces more accurate, error-tolerant results - faster and with greater flexibility and scalability - than any other software on the market.

Netrics handles - out of the "box" - many of the inconsistencies and problems that humans do naturally.  These include:

  • Product/ID number errors (“AB2530” for “AW2530”)
  • Letters out of order (“Patsries” for “Pastries”)
  • Words out of order (“Truffle Tower” for “Tower Truffle”)
  • Fused words (“Windtunnel” for “Wind tunnel”)
  • Split words (“Wind tunnel” for “Windtunnel”)
  • Missing letters (“Windtunel” for “Windtunnel”)
  • Extraneous letters (“Chocolatwe” for “Chocolate”)
  • Multiple errors (“Trufle Tripl Towr” for “Triple Truffle Tower”)
  • Incomplete words (“hocolate” for “Chocolate”)
  • Extraneous information (“rflkj Chocolate dhhg” for “Chocolate”)
  • Incorrect or missing punctuation (“Lemon-log” for “Lemon log”)
  • Incorrect fielding in fielded data sets
  • And much more – including multilingual support (40+)
