Speed Delivery, Lower Costs, and Improve Compliance

Netrics Enables SCM to Realize It's Potential

To many manufacturers, the goal of automating business processes from suppliers to point of sale remains elusive.  New technologies such as Global Data Synchronization and Electronic Product Code/Radio Frequency Identification (EPC/RFID) are becoming a competitive necessity, but do not always deliver on their promised benefits.

For example, in a recent study, a $500 million retailer found it could match up only 53% of invoices with the appropriate purchase order.  Similarly, The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association found that less than half of automotive parts records were accurately synchronized between suppliers and resellers.  45% contained unidentifiable or inconsistent part numbers, 4% contained inaccurate price information, and 5% provided inaccurate inventory levels.

The issue isn't always errors; often, it's inconsistencies.  Data that's perfectly acceptable and useful for a manufacturer operating its own business processes may not be consistent with the requirements of businesses in the other steps of the chain.    That's why Netrics is so useful.  It can find and link data despite inconsistencies that stymie conventional software.

Manufacturers can drive key business initiatives such as:

  • Increasing operational efficiency by accurately linking customer, product, supplier, and operational data-from internal as well as external trading partners' systems-across their business processes, despite inconsistencies.
  • Improving product performance by consolidating data from multiple sources in real time to obtain a comprehensive view of product performance
  • Establishing a robust compliance framework by automating data collection from multiple sources, guaranteeing its quality and reliability, and ensuring that business users have real-time access.
