No Rules

Matches accurately without the need to develop or optimize rule-sets

Unlike other advanced matching software, Netrics does not require a substantial customization/ optimization effort by the customer.

For example, probabilistic matching technology uses rule-sets programmed by a combination of business- and engineering-experts to make matching decisions. These rule-sets need to be developed for specific matching problems (e.g. person identification uses a different rule-set from address-matching).

Even when the probabilistic matching software comes with a pre-built rule-set for the data entity you need, achieving acceptable levels of accuracy will typically require careful optimization. Such optimizations are a major task, often requiring teams of engineers working for weeks on a single entity in a specific application. Worse, the changes required for such optimizations are fraught with the possibility of "breaking" the validity of the original model.

Netrics is different. Most Netrics customers find that their matching problem - even challenging ones - can be solved by the Netrics Matching Engine without any rules at all. Often, good results are obtained from the initial trial query. Careful optimization typically takes a few hours, or at most a few days.

The simplicity of the matching task is the direct result of the advanced, proprietary technology built into the Matching Engine. It's so advanced, it's simple.

For the most challenging applications, Netrics users can deploy the "Decision Engine" to interpret results from the Matching Engine. This adds multi-field logic to matching decisions, not unlike a rule-set. However, there's one huge difference: the system learns the rules itself. You need only provide it with examples. There's no programming, no requirements gathering, and no manual translation of business rules to code.

Whether you use the Matching Engine by itself, or in combination with the Decision Engine, you can afford to deploy Netrics technology wherever it's needed.
